RI Saver is designed to offer flexible reserved instance (RI) options for AWS services not included under compute savings plans. Specifically, it provides cost optimization solutions for AWS's Relational Database Service (RDS), OpenSearch, and ElastiCache. With a focus on three-year pricing optimization, RI Saver through Tide delivers substantial savings for your cloud infrastructure.
Cost Overview
The Cost section presents a comprehensive view of your total net spend over the past 30 days for instance charges associated with RDS, OpenSearch, and ElastiCache.
Savings Opportunities
In the Savings Available section, you can discover potential monthly savings available through Tide's Compute Saver Program. By clicking on SAVE NOW, you can subscribe and initiate your cost-saving journey immediately.
Spend Analysis
The Spend Graph provides a daily breakdown of your compute spending, categorized by spend type (On-Demand vs. Reserved Instances). It defaults to showing data from the last 30 days, giving you a clear view of your spending patterns.
Reservations
The Reservations displays your rate optimization health, differentiating between reservations made through Tide (marked with a pink dot) and those made directly via AWS. For a more in-depth analysis, including ESR and FinOps statistics, click on View More to access your detailed reservation health page.
Tide's Flexible Reserved Instances
Tide’s RI Saver Program allows customers to have Tide manage the purchase of Reserved Instances on their behalf, with flexible terms that go beyond the traditional three-year commitment.
Purchasing Options
New Reservations: Customers can opt to purchase new RIs with a partial upfront payment.
Recycled RIs: If available on Tide's RI marketplace, customers may choose to take over recycled RIs with no upfront payment, assuming the remaining unblended costs of the RI.
